Cherry blossoms and Love

Let's start the day with a new blog post (even though its already past noon >.<). But as I always say better late than never right?

Today I wanted to talk about one of our couples. To respect their privacy I decided to call them Jack and Jill. We first meet Jack and Jill back in February. They came into our shop not knowing what to expect so we explained to them about the different packages we offer and what happens before, during and after the photo shoot.
The more we talked the more we found out about them. They told us about how they meet, which was in high school. That is so sweet high school sweet hearts! <3 They also told us about what they plan to do in the future. It was over all an enjoyable conversation.

The photo you see above was taken at the Japanese Tea Garden in San Francisco. This location is gorgeous. The trees and cherry blossoms that surround it makes it an ideal location to shoot. If you have never been here you need to add it to your travel list. Although it is small, you can still spend hours upon hours in here admiring the scenery. In my opinion everything is picture worthy, thus why I frequently choose this location.
By the end of the day everyone was tired but still happy and excited to be here. Jack and Jill made shooting them so easy. They move together as one and you can see the love they have for each other. This makes me so happy to see. :)

DIY your bridesmate gifts!

Today we will be shooting a new couple! Yay! But that will be posted at a later date...
In the mean time I saw the cutest idea for bridesmaid gifts from 100layercake.com. For those brides out there that love doing DIYs or may be on a budget, fear not this DIY is relatively inexpensive (unless you have many bridesmaids) and it's such an awesome idea!

First what you will need is a locket of your choosing. On 100layercake they used a vintage sphere locket, as a girly girl I am a heart locket kind of girl :) I found some on Etsy that would great for this DIY project.

This first one can be found at Dondalees shop. This locket costs $22. A simple brass locket. The shop offers different chain lengths.

The second one offers customization. You can add your initials which makes it even more special. It is a bit more expensive at $30, but Hey, its your GFs right? This one can be found at Skyejuice's shop. The chain length can also be adjusted.

Next, you will need some decorative paper that has one side blank. Cut them to fit inside your locket. The length of the paper will depend on how long your message is. On the paper, it is up to you to write what ever you please.

Fold the paper accordion style making sure it fits inside your locket. Once that is done, put it inside the locket and TADA! A great bridesmaid gift! Your friends will love it because of the time and effort you put into making the gift. YAY! Happy crafting :)

A blast from the past...

This is one of  my personal favorite pictures. I love it because it can be interpreted into may different things. When I first say this photo I thought, "Wow this looks like a journey. A journey with a newly wed couple." As newly married couples there is still a long journey ahead, with many obstacles that will try to bring you down. But as a couple this is a journey you will face together. Being with each other means you will be there for your partner. Although there will be times when you hate each other but you vowed to love each other for as long as you shall live. Life will bring sorrow but as they say at the end of every tunnel will be light. You just have to find your way to the light. Without bad times how will you know what good times are like. To all the newly married couple, I wish you all nothing but eternal happiness with your significant other. May life bring you nothing but joy (along with some sorrow).

With lots of love,
